DESCRIPTION:

This riverboat trip will please nature lovers. Palo Verde national park, which is on such a large scale that it hosts different life zones, such as: swamps, savannas and evergreen forests. Such ecosystem,  is the natural habitat for lots of different plants and animals, including the crocodile, lizards, monkies, egrets and herons to mention some.

​

The river stretches for 144 kilometers through the park and is the third longest in Costa Rica.

 

Cruising along its waters, your guide will point out wildlife including white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, snakes, iguanas and bats. Look out for the eyes of crocodiles peeking out from beneath the murky waters, too.

 

This place is also a paradise for birdwatchers. More than 300 types of birds have been seen in the park, including orioles, herons, spoonbills, scarlet macaws and wood storks.
